Last Friday night October 10th a ribbon cutting ceremony was held and guests in attendance got the opportunity to walk through this exciting new space. P.J. Hoerr Vice President Kirk Anderson (3rd from the left) assisted with the ribbon cutting.
In addition, visitors to Alumni Hall will learn about the heritage of the College and the City of Galesburg through research and programming at the Lincoln Studies Center and museum-quality displays housed within the Whitcomb Heritage Center. Featuring the original large vaulted ceiling, this transformed building will serve as both a gateway to a Knox education and to life after Knox. Standing on the edge of the historic Knox campus, the building also serves as a gateway to the Galesburg community.
P.J. Hoerr affiliated company Summit Masonry repaired and installed new brick and stone throughout the facility including rebuilding the front stairs. P.J. Hoerr's other affiliated company Benchmark Cabinets provided casework throughout the facility.
As the owner representative for Knox College, it has not only been a privilege to work with, but an honor to be part of the "A" team on the Alumni Hall project.
As with this project and all other projects they have done on Campus, they have always brought the best professional staff possible.
I would like to thank everyone within the P.J. Hoerr firm for a job well done.
Scott Maust, Director of Facilities Services
Knox College - Galesburg, IL
