P.J. Hoerr Quarterly Safety Meeting 2019 | Peoria, IL

Last evening P.J. Hoerr/Summit Masonry held their quarterly Safety Meeting at the Peoria P.J. Hoerr shop facilities. Approximately 80 were in attendance. Vice President Scott Rinkenberger led a discussion on safe construction in a healthcare environment. This included an orientation on the risk mitigation policies P.J. Hoerr has in place on our jobsites.

Field foreman Ryan Rohman demonstrated how to assemble/setup temporary barrier walls and HEPA fans.

The company also celebrated the retirement of Bill Hart, who spent 25 years of his career working for P.J. Hoerr as an iron worker.

P.J. Hoerr University Forum - Risk Management

This morning Project Management/Estimator/Executive staffs of the company gathered for another P.J. Hoerr University forum, this time focused on Risk Management and how it affects every aspect of the company presented by P.J. Hoerr CEO Bob Hoerr. Thursday of this week the forum will be held for Project Superintendents.

Knox College Umbeck Science & Mathematics Center - Renovation & Addition - Galesburg, IL

The Umbeck Science & Math Center Renovation Phase 1 consists of a complete renovation of the 22,492 sq. ft. classroom and student study space in the main core of the building. Included in the project is a 3,100 sq. ft. all glass addition that will become the main entry. The renovation also includes all new MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems. The existing MEP systems had to remain in place to serve the other 4 wings of the building while school is still in session.

Annual P.J. Hoerr | Summit Masonry | Benchmark Cabinets Company Picnic - Pekin, IL Mineral Springs Park

Every year just as the autumn season begins, the P.J. Hoerr family of companies gets together for its annual picnic featuring family, food, fun and prizes. This year our theme was Super Hero. Kids that came dressed as their favorite super hero were entered into a drawing for a special prize. Barnyard Discoveries brought their mobile petting zoo, creative transformations were made by face painting from the Zoo Crew, balloon creations were provided by The Unique Twist and Hickory River Smokehouse catered the delicious food.

P.J. Hoerr Supports - Peoria to Memphis St. Jude Rides 2018

Founded by Former Peoria Sheriff Mike McCoy and Brad Wiebler, a typical St. Jude Ride brings 150 motorcyclists with 76 passengers on the journey from Peoria to Memphis.

We raise funds and build awareness of the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital through motorcycle rides to St. Jude children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN and the St. Jude Midwest affiliate located in Peoria, IL. Our goal is to financially help to further their mission of advancing cures and find preventions for childhood cancers.
