Washington Community High School Addition and Renovations Washington, IL

PAST PERFORMANCE

Washington Community High School Summer 2011 Renovations

This project consisted of the renovation of various existing spaces throughout the high school over the Summer of 2011 in advance of a significant building addition in the Fall of 2011. Work for this project coincided with a separate asbestos abatement project over a fifty five day period in the Summer of 2011 and was coordinated through P.J. Hoerr as the Construction Manager to ensure all work was completed on schedule before the start of school in late August. Work in the 1955 East addition included installation of new aluminum storefront window systems, suspended ceiling installation and VCT floor tile installation, as well as installation of light fixtures and plumbing fixtures. Also included in that portion of the building was painting and patching of existing walls where required.  The 1955 South Addition included renovation of the Family and Consumer Sciences department including suspended ceiling installation, VCT floor tile installation, light fixture and plumbing fixture installation, removal and replacement of existing casework, and expansion of the air conditioning system. Work also included total building demolition of a portion of the 1955 East addition (in advance of the planned building addition) and installation of temporary weather tight enclosures at the resulting openings and along the face of the exposed block wall. Relocation of building systems, including power, data and electrical serving the Ashbrook building was also a portion of the project.
