Now that we are in the steamy dog days of summer, here is a refreshing project P.J. Hoerr recently completed for the village of Morton, IL.
PAST PERFORMANCE - This new outdoor family swimming
complex consists of three pools:
1. An eight lane competition/family swim pool with a twelve foot deep end with one and three meter dive platforms. 2. A slide pool with two 120’ long waterslides. 3. A zero depth splash pool with water toy features for toddler play. This complex also has a new 4,500 square foot bathhouse with a concessions room, a women’s shower/locker room, a men’s shower/locker room, a family changing room, a lifeguard office, a lifeguard equipment storage room, and a pool equipment/pump room. The exterior pool environment also includes an expansive concrete pool/lounging deck, islands of sunshade structures throughout, landscaping, fencing, and off street parking. This project also included the complete demolition and disposal of the existing pool facility adjacent to the new pool complex.
