P.J. Hoerr Quarterly Safety Meeting | Washington, IL

Last evening P.J. Hoerr held their quarterly safety meeting at Five Points Washington. The featured guest speaker was Tom Bielema from SCT, Inc. (Safety Controls Tech). Tom gave a great overview of the upcoming OSHA silica standard and how it will affect the construction industry in the coming years.

The presentation discussed the reduction in silica PEL (Permissible Exposure Limits), the crippling effects of silicosis, different routes of exposure and engineering controls to prevent the creation of dust on the construction site.
