On April 27th PJ Hoerr held their quarterly safety
meeting at Five Points Washington. CEO
Bob Hoerr welcomed the group, talked briefly about the upcoming work load and
the status of the current insurance year and then turned the meeting over to
Safety Director Hans Hinrichsen. Hans
gave an overview of the company's safety performance for the year to date. Hans then presented the new company Safety
Incentive Program relative to the revised OSHA requirements. The emphasis of the new program is on
pro-active actions on the part of the company's field team members. The last checks from the old Incentive system
were then distributed by Bob and Hans.
Bob concluded the safety portion of the meeting by emphasizing and
illustrating the role that peer pressure plays in creating an effective culture
of safety. The meeting concluded with
the recognition of recent PJH retiree Mark Buchanan for his 20 years of service
to the company. Mark thanked everyone
and urged them all to have fun along the journey. Bob sent everyone off with his traditional
"Thanks for coming everyone. Be
safe out there and God bless!"
