P.J. Hoerr Quarterly Company Overview & Safety Meeting - Morton, IL
On Tuesday evening, March 12th PJ Hoerr/Summit Masonry held their first quarterly company overview and safety meeting of 2013 at The Ashland House in Morton. Over 130 were in attendance. Bob Hoerr began the meeting by giving everyone an overview of the company's upcoming work for 2013 as of this point in time. It was stressed that over 80% of both the current and upcoming work was negotiated work with past satisfied clients who had come back to us to have us perform additional work. Both the challenges as well as the opportunities were presented. Bob then introduced the company Safety Director, Hans Hinrichsen who gave an overview of the corporate safety record and performance. Hans showed jobsite pictures that portrayed both the good and the bad in terms of safety that he had observed on our jobsites. He gave an overview as well regarding upcoming company safety initiatives for the year. The meeting then turned to a celebration of the retirement of our former Safety Director Steve Williams. Various people shared stories and memories of Steve. Steve then stood up to thank various people within the organization for all that they had done to work with him over the 22 years he had worked at PJH. Steve was joined at the dinner by his wife, his daughter, his mother and his sister and brother-in-laws as well as a family friend. We will miss Steve but we wish him well as he enters this next phase of his life. Bob wrapped up the meeting with his traditional sendoff: "Be safe out there. Thanks for coming everyone and God bless!"
