Since joining Summit Masonry & P.J. Hoerr in 1999 Mr. Watkins has acted as field superintendent, project manager, and quality control specialist. Projects he has been involved in include churches, medical office buildings, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and community centers. It is currently Phil’s job to review plans for problem areas, recommend solutions, inspect the work as it proceeds in the field and test buildings for water tightness and energy leakage.

Phil Watkins - Quality Control Specialist
Mr. Watkins has been employed in the construction industry for 35 years. During this time he has served as a masonry field superintendent on many projects. He has worked closely with several forensic architectural design firms in the development of construction details in regards to exterior building envelopes and interfaces of building components. He now serves as a quality control specialist and is responsible for any leaks through the exterior building envelope including flashings, window systems, and building component interfaces.
