Graham Medical Group Clinic - Canton, IL

PAST PERFORMANCE - Due to a growing number of physicians, an antiquated existing facility and increased demand for services, Graham Hospital decided to construct a new, state-of-the-art medical office building and clinic. P.J. Hoerr was brought in after the initial design exceeded the Owner’s tight budget. A partial redesign of the facility was undertaken and several rounds of value engineering were then required to get the project within budget and still meet the Owner’s needs and requirements.

After completing several other successful projects for the hospital, P.J. Hoerr was chosen to consult on the design and provide construction management for the project. After the value engineering discussed above, P.J. Hoerr provided the Owner with a guaranteed maximum price and proceeded to construction. The value engineering process reduced total project costs by $1.3 million (9%). P.J. Hoerr also advised the design team on the mechanical systems and site planning. Once the design was complete, P.J. Hoerr advertised for and bid the project.
