Crossroads United Methodist Church - Washington, IL

PAST PERFORMANCE - This project is phase two of a three-phase master plan for the church. The original building is 33,000 square feet and was completed in 2001. This large addition is home to the church’s permanent 800-seat sanctuary space with a laminated wood truss and deck roof. The sanctuary has a large stone and wood altar wall with a wooden cross and stained glass window. The space is carpeted with fixed wooden pews with room to grow on the main floor and the balcony in a future construction phase that will increase seating to 1,100 seats. The facility also houses a nursery, classrooms, an entry/narthex space, toilet rooms, an elevator, storage rooms, and an audio/video/lighting control booth. The current construction includes shell space for future classrooms on the second floor and a choir room behind the sanctuary on the first floor. The current addition utilizes the existing parking lot with added parking planned for in the (future) third phase building additions.
