What Qualities Equal Competitiveness?

Ideal Concrete Block MFG. CO. Sign Rescue

This old Ideal Concrete Block sign that founder Philipp J. Hoerr used for years, was found up in the attic of a house in Peoria that Philipp's father Chris Hoerr built. Over the years Philipp J. Hoerr, his sister Lena Hoerr and his son Max P. Hoerr owned the house.  Max’s son Bob and his wife lived in the house when they were first married.  Max’s son Steve also lived in the house at one time as well.

Trudy Stoehr Retirement Party

On May 29th P.J. Hoerr held an appreciation event at Weaver Ridge in honor of the retirement of long time team member Trudy Stoehr. Trudy first came to the company 25 years ago in 1989 as an accountant within the finance department. She was soon appointed as the company’s comptroller and office manager and served in this capacity until her retirement. Throughout her career at PJH Trudy was always well respected and admired for her work ethic, integrity and her ability to juggle the various challenges of leading such a diverse department. She was always on the front lines when it came to organizing various company events and was consistently a strong cheerleader in promoting PJH’s strong corporate culture of mutual respect and camaraderie. We wish her and her husband Jerry a prosperous and blessed retirement life together. She was greatly loved and admired here and will be greatly missed. Thanks for everything Trudy and God bless!
