P.J. Hoerr Sponsors | Military Patriot Award at Goodwill’s Reception of Honor

On September 8th P.J. Hoerr was honored to be able to sponsor and present the Military Patriot Award at Goodwill’s Reception of Honor. This award acknowledges an outstanding, currently serving military member who has shown incredible courage, determination and leadership to fulfill his or her duties.

At the reception P.J. Hoerr Healthcare Director & Project Executive Scott Rinkenberger was privileged to present this award to Colonel Robbie Robertson. Scott’s remarks concerning Colonel Robertson's accomplishments and the pictures of the recipient are as follows:

The Military Patriot Award acknowledges an outstanding, currently serving, military member who has shown incredible courage in fulfillment of their duties. In addition, this individual works diligently to find ways to assure that services and support systems are in place for all military members, both now and in the future.

Colonel Robbie Robertson exemplifies the military patriot. A combat proven C-130 pilot and decorated officer within the Illinois Air National Guard, Colonel Robertson serves as commander of the 182^nd Airlift Wing. In this capacity, he leads more than 1200 members of the Illinois Air National Guard.

Colonel Robertson ensures that everyone under his command is mission capable and ready to support both federal and state level missions. The Colonel’s commitment to his command is evident and reassuring, should the need arise for military intervention.

Aside from his active service, Colonel Robertson serves on Goodwill’s Board of Directors. The experience and knowledge that he lends to this role allows Goodwill to make the best possible decisions regarding the support of our veterans. He has also served as president of the Downtown Peoria Rotary and provided outreach on many Rotarian projects. 

The respect and admiration for a true military leader can be seen in the eyes of the people they command. To witness Colonel Robertson in the field is to see this in his airmen. 

For these reasons and many more, the 2016 Military Patriot Award is presented to Colonel Robbie Robertson. Unfortunately, the Colonel could not be here with us tonight, but he did want to send his appreciation.
