Construction at this complete remodel at the Goodwill Industries building on War Memorial Drive is moving along quite well. Today found metal stud installation completed and drywall being put up. Also the old windows were being demoed.

Maui Jim Dive for Cover - Peoria, IL
This past Friday, Maui Jim hosted its 12th Dive for Cover. The event benefits the many families that are homeless living at the South Side Mission in Peoria, IL.

Brad Poindexter - Project Superintendent
From 1988 to 1998, Mr. Poindexter worked as a carpenter on residential, light commercial, heavy commercial, industrial and healthcare construction. In 1994, he became an employee of P.J. Hoerr and was promoted to Superintendent in 1998. Since that time, Brad has been a Project Superintendent on multiple commercial and industrial projects.
Mr. Poindexter came to the BroMenn Regional Medical Center in 2004. In 2006 Brad was promoted to oversee all in-hospital BroMenn projects. His current responsibilities include the production of frequent budgets for proposed projects, coordination with the facility staff, and making Preconstruction Risk Assessments (PCRA’s) and Interim Life Safety Measures (ILSM’s). Brad has the day to day responsibility for projects in the hospital from the set up of infection control through completion of the final punch list and final cleaning.

Advocate BroMenn Medical Center, Normal, IL - Mr. Poindexter has been overseeing renovations at Advocate Bromenn Medical Center since 2004. This work has consisted of multiple cosmetic upgrades to staff and patient rooms, life safety upgrades to the entire campus in Normal, IL and at Eureka Community Hospital in Eureka, IL. Brad is currently slated to be the Project Superintendent for the $3.5 million laboratory relocation project in the lower level of the new patient tower. There have also been multi floor abatement projects in the older buildings on the Normal campus. Mr. Poindexter has also overseen the replacement of several pieces of medical equipment including an MRI, 2 CT Scanners, 4 floral radiology rooms, 2 mammogram rooms, 2 biplane cath Labs, 1 cath lab, 2 equipment sterilizers in the OR Suite, 2 sterilizers in central service, scope sterilizers in the OR and same day services. Mr. Poindexter also supervised the replacement of two walk-in coolers and a dish washer for the dietary services. Finally there have been renovations to several physicians suites in the Physician’s Office Building and in the Medical Office Building. 2005 - Present
Carpenters Apprenticeship School - 2000-2003 - Mr. Poindexter was an instructor at the Carpenters Apprenticeship School where he taught Concrete 1 & 2, Interior Systems 1&2, Residential Framing, Roof Framing, Stair Construction, Interior & Exterior Trim, Welding 1&2, Mill Cabinet & Doors and Hardware. Mr. Poindexter was certified to teach First Aid & CPR/AED though the Peoria Chapter Red Cross. He also taught certification courses in Scaffold Erecter, Scaffold User, Fall Protection, OSHA 500, 40 Hour OSHA, OSHA 10, Fire Stop, Solid Surface, Ingersoll Rand Door Hardware and Insulated Concrete Forms.
2004 - ADA Upgrade for the First Christian Church in Champaign and a school
renovation at Ridgeview High School in Illinois.
1994-1999 - Multiple renovations and additions for BridgeStone/ Firestone OTR plant and Bloomington Seating Company in Bloomington, IL. Two dormitory remodels and
several small scale renovations for Illinois Wesleyan University. Mr. Poindexter supervised the sanctuary and classroom addition to St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
University of Illinois Huff Hall achieves LEED Silver Certification
Congratulations, I have received confirmation from the GBCI that we have

PAST PERFORMANCE - This was another facility that P.J. Hoerr provided on a design/build basis. P.J. Hoerr helped to develop the design and then construct this 22,400 square foot facility. The high tech exterior finishes and unique features help to communicate Acura’s reputation for innovation and performance.
