P.J. Hoerr Quarterly Safety and Company Overview - March of Dimes Fundraiser

On Monday, November 12th P.J. Hoerr/Summit Masonry/Benchmark Millwork held their annual March of Dimes fundraiser and company meeting at the company headquarters. A nacho dinner was prepared and everyone attending donated a minimum of $10 each to The March of Dimes. The company matched all donations given. The meeting opened with an overview of current work on hand by company CEO Bob Hoerr. Bob then introduced the company's new Director of Corporate Safety, Hans Hinrichsen who gave a brief overview of his philosophy and vision for the companies' safety initiatives as well as an update on safety performance for the year to date. Raffle ticket numbers were then read by company President Joe Hart and attendees were able to come up and select from various prize items. The meeting concluded with a "construction skills" contest pitting Nick Hart, Dan Blazevich, Hans Hinrichsen and Billy Rieck against each other. The object was to see who would be the fastest to drive 5 nails into a 4x4, cut off the end of the 4x4 with a handsaw and then roll up a 25 foot electric cord. Everyone was able to place tickets into the can of the contestant they thought most likely to win. Billy Rieck was the winner and a ticket was pulled from his can. Josh Neltner was the lucky ticket and he received a day off with pay. It was a great event and helped to raise over $3,000 for the March of Dimes. Thanks to all that participated!

P.J. Hoerr - Healthcare Services

Over the past 25 years P.J. Hoerr has had the opportunity to serve numerous health care clients. Our resume of past and current health care projects number well into the hundreds. Along the journey we have established a track record of trust, expertise, service, trouble-shooting ability and quality workmanship that is unrivaled in the Central Illinois construction market. In short, we have worked hard to achieve our status as the area’s premier creator of productive health care environments.

Achieving this status is one thing, maintaining and building upon it is quite another. The secrets of our past success are the foundation for maintaining and enhancing our industry leadership. The essential cornerstones of our Health Care Services Group are best summarized by the following principles; planning, scheduling, operational control and cost control.

Health care construction is a unique discipline with regulation, coordination, building code, interface, and process requirements that deviate dramatically from conventional construction. Our diverse project experiences have made us capable of asking the right questions up front to stimulate planning and thought processes that can avoid major complications and regulatory conflicts down the road. Details you may not have considered when combining the construction process with your ongoing operations are identified early and accounted for in the scheduling and budgeting process. Aspects of infection control, patient and staff needs and regulatory compliance are reviewed, analyzed and thought through. Once the pre-planning process is complete, we generate a fully integrated, comprehensive schedule. This schedule assimilates all aspects of the project into a master flowchart. It identifies responsibilities and necessary coordination requirements and serves as a road map for the identification of potential problems as well as opportunities for schedule and cost reduction. The moment you select us as your health care construction professional we assemble an experienced team from our estimating, project management, and supervision ranks.

Please take some time to review our qualifications and talk to those we have served in the past and continue to serve today. We believe that upon doing so you will come to the same conclusion that so many other health care providers in the Central Illinois area have come to over the years...P. J. Hoerr, Inc. brings value and expertise to health care construction that no one else can match.
